About the shop owner, Kimberly!

Kimberly grew up in Cedar Hill, Texas; a little town on the outskirts of Dallas. Although she left Texas at the age of 18, she still considers herself a Texan. She always says, “You can take a girl out of Texas, but you can’t take Texas out of the girl.” She moved to Oregon and ended up in the Eugene/Springfield area, but always felt a strong pull to Central Oregon. After working in the corporate world for 30 years, an unexpected shift in her career gave her the opportunity to move to Central Oregon to start a brand new adventure, one she had dreamt of her entire life.

The Vintage Cottage was founded in 2013 and was created as a farmhouse, shabby chic, French provincial, cottage, and southern style furniture and home décor store, the type of place where Kimberly felt at home. She purchased The Vintage Cottage in April, 2019. She has added her other passions to the store, including women’s clothing and a baby boutique. In addition, she continues to grow the list of local and Oregon artists featured that include, jewelers, candle makers, sign makers, seamstresses and men’s product lines. She plans to continue to grow the list of artists that call The Vintage Cottage home.

Kimberly has two boys, Drew and Jake. Drew served in the Army and is now working in the Springfield area. Jake is currently serving in the Air Force, in Maryland and attending ASU. She is one proud momma!!

She holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration.
